Martins tavern

If you're going to be in Washington, D.C. for the inauguration and are planning on eating, you're in luck. The city has far more good restaurants than its reputation suggests. The oldest, and still one of the best, is Martin's Tavern on Wisconsin Avenue in Georgetown, serving interesting people since 1933. JFK wooed his wife there. Whittaker Chambers met with Alger Hiss in a back booth. You can picture it all, and taste Washington in every bite. Plus the food's not bad.

On principle, I would try to refrain from eating at a restaraunt, or supporting any other business, recommended by Tucker Carlson. Who is he to be playing tour guide for this inauguration anyway? Shouldn't he be out beating up gays?

Martin's home of the conservative. Why wouldn't he recommend it? What a bore of a place. I would recommend the Burgandy Cafe for the wives of conservatives, but it is no longer in business and I don't know what has replaced it.

Tucker is the master of the inane. I hope his taste in food is better than his taste in "journalism".

First, I don't think your comment "beating up gays" was fair at all. If you're sexually assaulted, no matter the sexual orientation of the attacker, a victim has the right to defend themselves. Secondly, that comment had absolutely no relevance to Carlson's restaurant pick. You might want to look for a more constructive way to channel your anger. Lastly, I've been to Martin's before and also recommend it to anyone who is actually reading this article for the reason it was posted.
