 The Oxford Creamery in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts, on Buzzards Bay. Wherever two or more New England seafood enthusiasts gather, arguments erupt over where to find the best fried clams. All serious contenders are in coastal Massachusetts of course. Is it Woodman's in Essex? The Clam Box in Ipswich? Both are good. Neither is in the same league as The Oxford Creamery. They serve the best fried clams in the United States. Without question. Pick up a pint and a chocolate frappe and you'll be transported. I once flew from Banjul, Gambia, to JFK, caught a flight to Boston and drove directly to the Oxford Creamery. It was the best part of the trip. |

I've got news for you, fried clams aren't only for rich people, dude. Besides fried smelts, they are "the people's fried seafood". You can't even get a good piece of fried haddock anymore. Good fried clams are a summer tradition in New England. Do yourself a favor and and get some but first swallow a few fish oil pills to counteract the bad effects on your cholesterol. Enjoy, and don't worry, no one will look at you like you're a Rockefeller! :^))

What's your point, besides your obvious jealousy? Is it rich people can't write articles on DB? If so, what's the cutoff? How little can one have before they can be allowed to write? I suspect once you set the limit we'll have to demand most of the contributors get shit-canned.
Or is the point that rich folk who have inherited their wealth should not write on DB? Without thinking too hard or doing any investigation DB has at least two of those. Maybe we can demand they be fired? Better yet, maybe we can demand they be fired then we can surround them in the streets and stone them to death. YEAH! That ought to teach them a lesson!

Never go to Woodman's or even the Clam Box. Those are tourist clams. Farnhams in Essex--trust me. Much as I hate your politics, I want Farnham's to get the "it's not Woodman's" credit it deserves.
